Annandale Millwork is doubling down on Newport News with an $11.5 million expansion. I heard we’re getting 154 new jobs out of the deal. They’ll be cranking out trusses and wall panels using Virginia timber, which keeps our local dollars right here. Mayor Jones is calling it a win for families, and I agree. Huge shoutout to Menchville High senior Kyla Leggette. She was selected as one of only two students representing Virginia in the U.S. Senate Youth Program. Kyla already serves as the student representative on the Newport News School Board, so leadership isn’t new to her. This March, she’ll head to Washington, D.C. to meet with Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, and she’ll receive a $10,000 undergraduate scholarship. Read More... |
