🌞Good morning, Newport News! This is issue 23. I kicked this off back in July, not totally sure who would read it or if it would last.
It’s Christmas Day, and I almost didn’t send this one. Almost.
I thought about that first issue, hitting publish a little nervously, hoping it would matter to someone besides me. So far, I’ve hit send every time.

Heads up if you use Newport News community centers. By 2026, the city plans to switch to cashless payments for things like classes and memberships. Don’t panic, cash isn’t getting cut off tomorrow. The rollout will be gradual, with time and help for folks to adjust.
