Art Scene Hampton Roads

DGCAC is a hub for the cultural arts of the city of Newport News. Located in the Southeast community, it is home to the Charles C. Allen Board Room, the L. Marion Poe Meeting Room, the Thaddeus Hayes Dance Studio, the Newport News Community Gallery, and the Ella Fitzgerald Theater. The building includes many other spaces available for rental and facilitates classes, workshops, and many other programs. We’re a living, breathing celebration of the talent hiding in our own backyard. We feature paintings, sculptures, pottery, jewelry and everything in between and offer classes and workshops instructed by our incredible artists.

Woman-owned art studio in Newport News, Virginia. The studio offers homeschool art instruction, pottery classes, summer camps, outreach, birthday parties, private lessons, and more! Saturday morning drop-in hours are 9 am - 12 pm. Otherwise hours are based on class schedules. PLEASE email or send a text to get in touch with me.
