In the Thimble Shoals area of Newport News, Rosa Butcher is helping people prepare for moments they hope they'll never face.

As the founder of Second Breath LLC, Rosa teaches CPR, First Aid, Basic Life Support, mental health awareness, and other life-saving skills that give people the confidence to act when every second counts.

Her journey began in 2002 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Over the years, she earned an Associate's degree, a Bachelor's degree, and a Master's degree while continuing to serve others. Today, she works as a 988 crisis responder, substitute teacher, and Mental Health First Aid instructor.
