Chick-fil-A Opens on Jefferson |
Another Chick-fil-A joins the flock, serving up smiles and 140 new jobs. |
If you drove down Jefferson Avenue last week and noticed a new line of cars, you weren’t imagining things. Chick-fil-A officially opened its newest Newport News location at 12839 Jefferson Avenue on November 6.
It’s the third standalone spot in the city, joining the ones at Patrick Henry Mall and CNU. The place was buzzing on opening day with fans dressed in cow gear earning free entrées while the team worked the grills like pros.
The restaurant is led by Christopher Hobert, a Navy veteran who already operates the Yoder Plaza Chick-fil-A. Between both spots, he’s now overseeing more than 140 local jobs, not to mention a steady stream of waffle fries.
To celebrate, Chick-fil-A donated $25,000 to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, keeping its reputation for good food and good deeds alive in the News.
So if you missed opening week, don’t worry, the nuggets aren’t going anywhere.
The opening has generated approximately 140 new jobs in the Newport News area.
For more information on career opportunities at this location, visit the restaurant’s official website.
