Showcasing the rule of law and the American dream through student creativity |
Angela F. Reason, Clerk of the Newport News Circuit Court, is proud to announce the inaugural Clerk's Law Day Art Contest, celebrating the vital role of the rule of law in safeguarding our freedoms and the pursuit of the American Dream.
Established in 1958, Law Day serves as a reminder that justice belongs to all of us.
This year's theme, "Lifting the Curtain on The Rule of Law and the American Dream," invites students to explore the unseen forces that uphold justice and keep the promise of the American Dream alive in our community.
Selected artworks will be exhibited at the Newport News Circuit Court through June 2026, offering daily visibility to judges, attorneys, city officials, and the public.
Top artists in the Elementary, Middle, High School, and College categories will be honored at a dedicated award ceremony, with winners receiving awards and gifts generously funded by community sponsors and Clerk Reason, at no cost to taxpayers.
All entries will be featured on the Newport News Circuit Court Clerk's official social media pages, amplifying student voices across the community.
