Got an old car seat collecting dust? It's time to trade it in.
Drive Safe Hampton Roads is hosting its annual "Old, Used, Borrowed and Abused" Child Safety Seat Round-Up throughout February.
Using outdated or damaged car seats can pose serious risks to children in the event of a crash.
This initiative aims to remove such seats from circulation, ensuring the safety of young passengers.
The Bounty:
For each qualifying seat turned in, participants will receive a $5 gift card.
There's a limit of two rewards per person.
Is Your Seat "Wanted"?
Consider turning in your seat if it:
– Is over eight years old
– Was purchased from a yard sale or thrift store
– Has been involved in a crash
Where to Go:
Drop off your seats at select Walmart Supercenters or AAA Offices across Hampton Roads.
In Newport News, participating locations include:
– Walmart Supercenter at 12401 Jefferson Avenue
– Walmart Supercenter at 6111 Jefferson Avenue
– AAA Office at 733 J Clyde Morris Blvd.
