NBA icon Allen Iverson brought some holiday magic to Newport News this week, personally helping distribute over 5,000 toys to local children at Heritage High School.

The effort was part of a ten-city toy drive uniting local organizations to make the season brighter for families in need.

Excitement filled the air as families lined up and kids left with huge smiles and armfuls of gifts.

Iverson spent real time with everyone, chatting with parents, swapping jokes with kids, and making the event feel truly personal and heartfelt.

Volunteers and community partners made sure no child was left behind, reflecting the generous spirit Newport News is known for.
