Oriana and Warwick Are Getting a 2026 Makeover |
A new median, safer crossings, and a $994,342 project headed for early next year |
The city’s Department of Engineering plans to update the intersection of Oriana Road and Warwick Boulevard in early 2026, and the layout will shift more than a little. A new median will remove the east and west cut-through, so drivers on Oriana will have to turn right onto Warwick. Pedestrian pushbuttons are part of the project, giving people on foot a safer shot at crossing.
The work carries a $994,342 price tag, fully funded by a VDOT grant. Curtis Contracting won the job and expects construction to take about six months. Portions of Oriana may detour during the project, so expect a few twists once the crews get moving. |
